Description:

This project will explore how targeted HIV prevention programs for women living in Ontario can be improved.

Purpose and Objectives:

Objectives of the project include: to document among different populations of women in Ontario, their understanding of HIV acquisition and the social, structural, racial, gender-based and economic factors that influence women's individual HIV-related risk behaviours; to determine, from the perspectives of the different populations of women themselves, best practices for reducing HIV among the different populations of women living in Ontario; and to transfer this knowledge to decision makers at all levels of Government to drive enhanced HIV prevention policies and programming for women in Ontario and Canada.
